- The top figures are what actually moved — logged sales, recorded costs, nothing estimated. If a number looks wrong here, something was not recorded.
- Below that is the forecast for the next three months: feed and water your animals will eat, overheads that repeat, harvests that are due.
- Gaps are things the forecast cannot price — a feed line with no cost, animals with no sale price. Each one is a hole in the total, listed so you know the figure is short rather than wrong.
- Close the gaps and the forecast becomes worth acting on. Until then it is a floor, not an estimate.
Actuals and forecast never overlap: a month that has happened is only actuals, a month ahead is only forecast. That is why the current month can look thin — most of it has not happened yet.
